It's not protecting them because of how virulant Covid is. We need a higher portion of the population to vaccinate to provide that protection. That has been known for a while now.
Israel: "Of the 41 people in serious condition (....) 82% have not been vaccinated". Israel has 64%+ vaccination rate. This also tells me the vaccines dont give long lasting immunity.
64% vaccination rate is the problem there. That is too low. It has nothing to do with the longevity of the vaccines effectiveness. The unvaccinated are the problem.
They have decided to do a third round in some places. Not because of a loss of effectiveness, but due to an abundance of caution. north America is considering it come winter.
