Under new EU laws you can also demand they send you the data they have on you, and if they fail to respond in (i believe 30?) days, they're subject to massive fines.

much better strategy than people in the EU deleting accounts. a fraction of people do it overwhelm their ability to respond to requests, subjectin them to extraordinarily huge fines.
