A reminder that you can't own a private key, just like you can't own a number/letter. If you push the ownership angle it just invites the government to control crypto. This ruins the potential for a CDBC alternative.
Can you own a bank account? What about the money "inside" it? Within a legal framework I believe so. Possession is 9/10th the law.
The only way to "own" a USD is to burn it: then it cannot be taken from you.
Isn't the government already all over trying to control crypto, and has been for a while?
I think this point is rather esoteric & won't stop them from trying to ruin CBDC alternatives.
