I was just told by an MD that death rate of Cov19 is 1%. I thought more like 0.1 or less. He cited this study https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33289900/ Anyone have a comment on that?
Many infected people died only because they went to a hospital to be subjected to flawed treatments and wrong medicines. Many poor people survived by not visiting hospitals.

I tend to think it is quite "politicized" myself, quite possibly very wrong. But I did think the official narrative (which is often useful to use in conversation) had deaths at <.01%
Also, I worry about echo chambers. It is important to hear other views sometimes. It is not normally so that one side is 100% correct and the other side is 100% wrong.
Yes, some kind of rate exists. We can only narrow the range down to meaningful numbers for specific circumstances such as age, comorbidity, nutrition, etc 1% IFR = pure fiction
