Someone will either create a better front-end for the memo protocol or the project will die.
replied 2367d
It's open-source. Anyone can just fork the project or add commits. Plus, raising funds through the community to do it is very possible
replied 2367d
That is really WEIRD ! I was just about to mention that it's open source ....
replied 2367d
Being open source and having obsolete code available publicly are completely different matters.
replied 2367d
But it still can be fixed whenever someone is willing to put in the effort and why do say the code is not publicly available if there is a #GitHub repo for #Memo
replied 2367d
There is a repo with useless code.
replied 2363d
That's a shame if that is true I may have to start pulling away from #Memo. I hope it's not #DailyMemo
replied 2367d
my bad

replied 2367d
I still don't know how. Is it difficult to learn?
replied 2367d
I'm not a programmer so I can't say, but it's possible.

That is what I thought I read when I first joined. Remember thinking ''that's cool''

I think the most recent source is closed (since tokens were added). If you find the current repo, link me.
replied 2367d
Well that seems alarming and makes me want to leave #Memo
replied 2367d
Think it makes sense if it would compromise safety for tokens if still open

Security through obscurity is not an ideal method. I appreciate the work @memo does, but would prefer that the source was open.
replied 2367d
Why did they change it? I don't like facebook or twitter ...:(
replied 2367d
It wouldn't.
replied 2367d
So what does this mean ?
replied 2367d
#Bitcoin #BCH, etc. are all open source. Being open-source doesn't make something less secure.
replied 2367d
good point
replied 2367d
They deliberately do this in my view.
replied 2367d
The code is not maintained publicly and never was.
replied 2367d
The code for memo.cash? It's a year behind, no token support, muting, etc. - the user interface does not work properly anymore
