An implementation detail for a now expired and irrelevant BIP vote that while not my personal fav. either is not invalid -versus- people who don't understand scientific methods.
i mean overally. most of the code are written by math and crypto professors who have no clue about programming, the rest of the people can code, but have no idea about cryptography.
That is a rather crude generalization.
