I do. But exploitation/slavery has also existed since long before capitalism, exists in all govt systems, and in my view is very hard to stamp out completely (the brits did their best)
Many gov't systems "legally" allow WRONGDOING. Collective action - i.e. when people RISE UP.- can sometimes make our lives better. You can't stamp put all EVIL but you can fight it..
Key word "sometimes". Also "pick your battles wisely". Last ~15 years, demonstrations seem to do very little good. And we have mass insanity, members of which also demonstrate i.e. BLM
Mass insanity & mass shootings. BLM & White Supremacists. The combos cause a HELLUVA commotion. At 60+ years of age, I don't know why I thought things would be better by NOW! (O.o)
A plausible theory is that this can only be fixed by hard times. Strong men make good times, good times make weak men, weak men make hard times, hard times make strong men.
Certainly the activist types are not gonna change their mind by being shown to be wrong. That only makes them crazier, and they think you have no heart, not that they need to rethink.
I admire the passion activists bring to a cause. But it takes more than whipping a crowd into frenzy 2 accomplish the cause.. Protests R good tools 4 progress. But not the only tools.
That's definitely plausible. My husband has passed away but, to his credit, when there was a crisis or hard times, he always rose to the challenge & together we overcame the struggle.
It focuses people doesn't it, when survival is at stake. Suddenly everyone understands that we cannot afford to waste time on pretend issues like compelled use of made up pronouns.
