Sam, appease my curiosity: Is there ANY controversial issue or event you don't align with, insofar as the mainstream/official narratives are concerned?
replied 901d
I just thought of one. I am rather against the SJW type. I consider myself a liberal progressive, but hate the way they are unwittingly regressive. They hurt any effort for progress.
replied 901d
They are often hypocrites who often harm the group's they claim to represent. I think they did more to help Trump than his supporters by gatekeeping the left and who is a liberal.
replied 904d
Hmm,well belief is God's is mainstream, and I do not align with that. I mainly only talk about conspiracies I once believed. I use to be a Truthers until I kept digging.

I have learned enough to trust scientific consensus. Since the scientific method will debunk the lies. They are always looking to prove each other wrong, and lies are easily disproven.
replied 904d
Anyone who says scientists are lying due to fear, or intimidation, or for money, has no clue what they are talking about. Scientists get fame and fortune for proving something wrong.
replied 904d
Some scientists do so, but most of them don't. Can be corrupt like every other profession. You are naive.

I've discussed before, but I have a family member that used to work in clinical research for a living. If they didn't "complete" their study, the clinic didn't get paid by the company.
replied 904d
Company being whatever pharmaceutical manufacturer was funding the study. Reasons for an incomplete? Sometimes members of the trial used recreational drugs or simply dropped out.

Those keeping the books were coereced, on occasion, to doctor the stats, including the minimum number of eligibile patients to ascertain a valid result.
replied 904d
Two patients on a drug screen tested positive for methamphetamine compramising eligibility? Make sure not to scan that in, keep paper copies for reference..
Into the trash they went.

These things do tend to get exposed. There is also the issue of "p hacking" to try and make it seem as if a result has statistical significance when has not met the threshold.
replied 903d
Thankfully this all tends to get exposed. This is why the system works so well. The lies in the stakes get exposed. They never get exposed by a random guy on the internet, but research
replied 903d
Since most of them do not those who do get exposed. This is a great example of what I was talking about.
replied 903d
"most" that a number for you? 51-100%? How do you calculate it?
replied 903d
Somewhere in the 70% to 90% range I would guess. Also paying a settlement does not mean guilt.
replied 903d
guess science! :D
replied 903d
You going to pretend you have an actual stat for that?
