Business Idea: If the Democrats are successful in outlawing private health insurance & instituting Medicare for all, there will be a huge market for companies that can help you navigate the bureaucracy for a fee.

It's the #fuckingcapitalists at the insurance companies that create the impenetrable bureaucracies that keep people from care. Medicare has no incentive to do so. What ignorance.

You mean the insurance companies that lobbied for Obamacare?
replied 2305d
Yes exactly. Forcing everyone to buy their product was the best thing that could have happened for them. It was the fucking Republican plan to begin with which is why is sucks so much.

yes a market will be created but isnt this like a broken window fallacy? like that effort could have been more productively used elsewhere?
replied 2306d
Certainly. I'm not in favor of this happening, I just see an opportunity to take advantage of the misfortune of others.

sad but true!

Believe it or not, healthcare used to be so cheap that drs complained. Gov got involved, limited competition and now we have this mess.
replied 2306d
As always, the best off'll still have more access to care, til they outlaw getting better care period. "Sorry you can't be treated because we didn't treat someone else, gotta be fair."
replied 2306d
In the end, only reducing the cost of healthcare will make it more available to the poor. That will come from transparency & less interference from government (competition).
replied 2306d
Most of the cost factor comes from medical schools limiting entrants. They mostly base admission on doctors' pay levels to keep medical care scarce and costly
