Never did that but I spent a lot of hours entering HEX code from magazines when I was a kid. Don't think any program ever worked.

Oh and at least I had a floppy drive to save it most people didn't so many hours to type it all and it was gone as soon as you rebooted.

Nope. Since BBS weren't invented yet not alone the internet magazines used to publish complied complied code. Column after column, page after page of hex. One typo and nothing works.
